Established in 1948, Nottingham Playhouse produces its own productions, hosts touring productions and runs a number of different participation programmes to get members of the community involved in theatre.
Seating: The main auditorium seats 760 people, across two tiers. You will generally get a decent view of the stage wherever you sit in the auditorium. The circle is fairly far back, meaning there is not too much of an overhang restricting vision for those sitting close to the back. Leg room is good throughout.
The Neville Studio is a studio theatre, playing host to smaller productions (usually community focused performances, or shows aimed at children) and seats up to 100 people (exact capacity varies depending on how the seating is set out). Generally, seating is not allocated for shows in the Neville Studio.
Parking: Cheapest and nearest parking is on-street near to the theatre (either around Wellington Circus or on Oxford Street). There can be a lot of competition for those parking spaces when shows have sold well! Nearby car parks include NCP Mount Street or NCP St James Street. If you are on public transport, the theatre is a 5-10 minute walk from the Old Market Square, where most of the nearest bus stops are. The nearest tram stop is probably Royal Centre.
